Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕

Today is all about love and the warm, fuzzy feelings that come with it.

But did you know that those feel-good emotions aren’t just about romance?

They’re also influenced by oxytocin, the “love hormone.” It helps us bond, reduces stress, and boosts overall happiness.

Keep reading to learn how to naturally increase it.

Anti-Inflammatory HEALTH TIP

How to Increase Your Love Hormone

While hugs, laughter, and quality time with loved ones are great ways to release oxytocin, your diet also plays a role in supporting your mood and well-being.

Nutrient-rich, anti-inflammatory foods help regulate hormones, balance blood sugar, and nourish your gut—the very place where many of your happy hormones are produced!

Three natural ways to increase your body's oxytocin levels:

1. Physical touch – Hugging, holding hands, or even petting an animal can trigger oxytocin release and promote feelings of connection.

2. Nourishing foods – Eating anti-inflammatory foods like dark chocolate, avocados, and leafy greens supports gut health, which plays a key role in oxytocin production.

3. Mindful connection – Engaging in deep conversations, practicing gratitude, or performing acts of kindness can naturally boost oxytocin levels and enhance emotional well-being.

Anti-Inflammatory MINDSET

Did you know your gut is called your "second brain"?

That’s because it produces over 90% of your serotonin—the neurotransmitter that regulates mood, sleep, and oxytocin levels.

To support both your gut and your mood:

Eat fiber-rich, anti-inflammatory foods like leafy greens, berries, and flaxseeds to nourish beneficial gut bacteria.

Incorporate fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, and dairy-free yogurt to promote a healthy microbiome.

✅Prioritize stress management through deep breathing, movement, and mindful eating, as stress negatively impacts gut health.

By caring for your gut, you’re not just improving digestion—you’re actively supporting a happier, healthier mind!

Happy Valentine's Day,
