And if you’re worried about all the added sugar this time of year brings, I’ve made these recipes with less sugar and better for you ingredients. I love making healthier swaps so I can still enjoy my favorite foods without all the added junk.
Easy Date Caramel Dip
I'm not sure anything screams fall like caramel and apples. This creamy + dreamy Caramel Dip only requires two ingredients. The perfect snack when you want something a little sweet or a quick energy boost. It's kid-friendly too and would be the perfect afternoon snack. Time to rethink your caramel sauce and use this simple + healthy one instead.
Ingredients:
8 pitted Medjool dates
5 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
Directions:
Place the pitted dates in the bowl of a food processor with the unsweetened almond milk. Puree until completely smooth. This will take a few minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula as needed. Enjoy immediately with apple slices, pretzels, or other dippers, or store in the refrigerator.
Halloween Snack Board
Snack boards are one of my favorite things to make. And this Halloween inspired snack board is so perfect for the season. Here’s a little tip for making the perfect snack board--- add variety! This is the perfect way to sneak in some veggies + fruits too. And always add something sweet like mini chocolates and cookies. This would make for a great snack for a fall party or a fun snack break at home.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies
What’s better than warm gooey cookies fresh out of the oven on a cold day?! Nothing! These pumpkin cookies are vegan + gluten-free and packed with a lot of flavor. These are the perfect fall treat when you’re craving something sweet.
Ingredients
¼ cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
¾ cup coconut sugar
¼ cup coconut oil, melted
2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
½ tsp baking soda
½ cup vegan mini chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In a medium bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree,coconut sugar, and coconut oil until well combined.
Then add the flour, pumpkin pie spice, and baking soda until well combined. You may need to use your hands here.
Add in the chocolate chips and then scoop dough out, rolling into a ball and placing on baking sheet. With eat ball of dough, press flat with fingers.
Bake for 10-12 minutes and enjoy!
