Anti-Inflammatory RECIPE
Golden Turmeric Sunrise Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
½ cup fresh or frozen mango
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Juice of 1 orange (or ½ cup orange juice)
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoon almond or peanut butter
¼ cup rolled oats
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon flaxseeds or chia seeds
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of black pepper
*Not a fan of nut butter? Swap for 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds (6-7g of protein and a boost of omega-3s)
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy. If it's too thick, add a splash of almond milk.
Taste and adjust sweetness by adding a pitted Medjool date if needed.
Pour into a glass, sip, and enjoy your protein-packed, anti-inflammatory start to the day!
